What makes a Hot Mamma? Positive energy, inner beauty (and let’s face it- when someone has inner beauty, they also have outer beauty), someone who balances life well, and no matter what life throws at them- they see the glass half full. Our Hot Mamma’s are working moms who “have it all”- family, career and happiness. And in true OCMAMMA style- our Hot Mamma’s are also…HOT.
Our hope is that you pat our Hot Mamma’s on the back for being able to juggle it all (with a smile on their face), and when possible- support their businesses. In every HM Spotlight you will be introduced to our HM of the Month, their kiddo and their business. Description of company you own or work for: I teach classes that help to prepare kids for kindergarten. The class is fun, interactive and full of activities that teach letters, phonics, math, fine motor skills, writing and the list goes on! I co-teach 2 classes each week with 8 students in each class.
How does your business help other moms and/or kids? The skills we work on help them become excited and confident when starting school.
How do you balance work and kids? That’s the hardest part!! I do most of my prep work after the kids go to bed. Getting the house cleaned and set up for class hopefully gets done during the few hours the kids are at school. And – thank goodness for my VERY supportive husband – he’s been known to be cutting things out and sorting materials the night before class to help me get ready!
What is your favorite activity with your kiddo? It’s summer right now so definitely the beach and the pool!
What is one piece of advice that you could share with other mom’s? Enjoy every moment!! Someone said to me once, "The days go by slowly but the years go quickly." and I feel like that’s so true. It all just goes too fast!

What is one of your favorite books about parenting? Redirecting Children’s Behavior by Kathryn J Kvols
What is your biggest guilty pleasure? Every night when the kids go to bed I put on my jammies and eat a big mug of ice cream!!
If you won the lotto today, what would be the first thing you would spend money on? (assuming you have to buy yourself something.. I know, it is a stretch) I’d pay off our house so my husband could work less and I’d plan a LONG family vacation!
