What makes a Hot Mamma? Positive energy, inner beauty (and let’s face it- when someone has inner beauty, they also have outer beauty), someone who balances life well, and no matter what life throws at them- they see the glass half full. Our Hot Mamma’s are working moms who “have it all”- family, career and happiness. And in true OCMAMMA style- our Hot Mamma’s are also…HOT.
Our hope is that you pat our Hot Mamma’s on the back for being able to juggle it all (with a smile on their face), and when possible- support their businesses. In every HM Spotlight you will be introduced to our HM of the Month, their kiddo and their business. How does your business help other moms and/or kids? How does it help moms?????
It helps eliminate the clutter!!! Those bins that are sitting at the back of your closet or in your garage filled with baby clothes….. Send them to us and we will turn all of your favorite baby items into a cozy quilt that you can keep forever. Ditch the bins!!! It’s also the perfect gift for your hubby. Does he have a couple of drawers filled with t-shirts from every sporting event he has been to in the last decade or still hanging on to those certain tees from college? Surprise him on your anniversary or his birthday with a custom quilt from all of his favorite things.
How do you balance work and kids? Balance? Juggle is a better term. I prioritize. It feels like I run this entire business during the few hours my baby is sleeping. I am very focused and extremely persistent. This business gives me such a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. It is exactly what I want to be doing and I love it. So in that sense it is pretty easy.
What is your favorite activity with your kiddo? Taking a walk around the lake or going for a bike ride or for a run. I love watching them be active. It cracks me up!
What is one piece of advice that you could share with other mom’s? Don’t be so hard on yourself. I think sometimes I get down on myself when the house is a disaster or dinner is disgusting or non-existent for that matter! I feel like….Where did my day go? I did absolutely nothing! But I look at my kids and know I am doing something right. They are awesome little creatures and I am so blessed GOD entrusted me with them.
What is your favorite online site for kids or moms? My new favorite site is HOMEWORD.com It is a daily devotional that is sent to my email each day. I get so much inspiration from those daily devotionals. It starts off my day just right.
What is one of your favorite books about parenting? I haven’t really delved that far into a lot of parenting books… just yet. But I have always been a fan of Babywise.
What is your biggest guilty pleasure? The Gym. I am such a gym rat! It’s my favorite thing that I do for myself everyday.
