Our hope is that you pat our Hot Mamma’s on the back for being able to juggle it all (with a smile on their face), and when possible- support their businesses. In every HM Spotlight you will be introduced to our HM of the Month, their kiddo and their business. If you choose to contact the HM (and we hope you do), please don’t forget to tell ‘em where you heard about their hot-ness.

Description of company you own or work for: Hush Baby is a Children’s Boutique filled with special, unique, one of a kind clothes and gifts. We strive to find things that aren’t found anywhere else so that your kids are one of a kind and your gifts are always a big hit!
How does your business help other moms and/or kids? For moms, we offer a TV Room, where we always have a kid’s movie playing so that moms can shop without worrying about watching the kids. We also have a “Hip Moms” section of clothes for those of us who don’t have time to shop for ourselves anymore! We gift wrap all gifts complimentary, as well. Also, we give back to our community any way we can, by giving donations to different charities and foundations, and participating in as many fundraisers as possible.
How do you balance work and kids? I am not sure that I do! I think the balance comes when you are truly doing something that you love. I try to tailor my work hours around the kid’s schedules, but I also love to take them to the store with me when I can, as I think it is important for them to see mommy doing something she truly loves to do. Being a working mom balances me as a person, so in turn, I think that provides balance in my family.
What is your favorite activity with your kiddo? I think my favorite thing is sitting down for dinner together each night as a family. We talk about our day, ask each other questions, and just reconnect after doing our own things all day. It pulls us back together and feels very comforting. Outside our home, we love to do beach bonfires and make S’mores!
What is one piece of advice that you could share with other mom’s? I know we think we can “do it all”, but we also need to take time for ourselves to recharge. Sometimes, that means getting a pedicure, and other times, that means going to the grocery store alone, but whatever it is, it is necessary! J
What is your favorite online site for kids or moms? I like Babycenter.com – you can sign up each of your kids by their birthdays and they send you updates of what stages they might be going through at certain ages. It certainly makes me feel better when I read that “tantrums are common at this age”!
What is one of your favorite books about parenting? “Meditations for Mothers of Toddlers” – it is a small little book that I read a few pages of at a time, but it has great little bits of advice on how to keep your sanity!
What is your biggest guilty pleasure? Going to Burke Williams for a facial and/or massage. I don’t go often, but when I do, it is pure heaven!
