How does your business help other moms and/or kids? Busy, hurried and harried mom’s sometimes need help planning their upcoming events and they appreciate good ideas and a calm planner.
How do you balance work and kids? Like everyone else, with lots of planning and my support group. I try to prioritize and make sure the top priorities: God, Husband, and Kids are getting the best and most of me. Mom’s know how to use every minute in their days and nights.
What is your favorite activity with your kiddo? Dance Parties…we turn on some music and get wild!!! The best is that my one-year old has officially joined in!
What is one piece of advice that you could share with other mom’s? I’m a scheduling “Nazi”. The best thing I’ve done is get my kids in bed and sleeping early enough to have time for my husband and myself later in the evenings. It works out great all around. But the fact that my husband helps with dishes and baths makes a big difference. And of course, it did come at the expense of a few trial runs and a few tears to get to that point!
What is your favorite online site for kids or moms? OC Mamma – it has everything I could need. I love the Mom’s in biz group on the social network. So informative. I also love etsy.com. What is one of your favorite books about parenting? Healthy Sleep Habits, Healthy Child by Dr. Marc Weissbluth. I needed this book especially with my first daughter to really lay down the rules on sleeping and understand sleep begets more sleep.
What is your biggest guilty pleasure? DVR – I’m a TV nut. I think I have at least one show every night to watch. Also, my book club. It’s so great to get lost in a good book and then discuss with the greatest set of friends every month. It’s like therapy!
If you won the lotto today, what would be the first thing you would spend money on? (assuming you have to buy yourself something.. I know, it is a stretch)…I would pay off our house. It would be so nice to not have to worry about it and just be happy where we are. If that’s not really for myself than maybe…a cabin in the mountains or a place to escape to out of the hustle and bustle of
